Rachel Haider literally grew up in and around the theater. She is a director, performer, instructor, coach, choreographer, and arts administrator. Her extensive resume includes work with professional, community and educational theaters. She was named “Best Director” for 2013 in Southern Minnesota Scene Magazine. Some of Rachel’s recent directing projects include Tippecanoe and Tyler Too, Miracle on 34th Street, The Music Man, Night Watch, White Christmas, Grease, 13, The King and I, Hello Dolly, Bye-Bye Birdie, The Wiz, Cheaper by the Dozen, Guys and Dolls, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Rachel is the President of Underdog Productions, a new Northfield theater company formed in 2014.
Rachel teaches theater with Pinnacle Performing Arts Center, Paradise Center for the Arts, Northfield Arts Guild, Northfield Youth Choirs, and through the Northfield public schools. She is the Director/Educator for Purple Door Youth Theater, a new youth theater company affiliated with the Northfield Arts Guild.
