Rice County Records, an Americana record label based in Northfield, presents a special showcase of music from its roster of regional stars. Presented in conjunction with the Defeat of Jesse James, the event features four great bands on the outdoor stage of the Contented Cow.
Rice County Records was founded in 2013 as an off-shoot of Northfield-Seattle label Plastic Horse Records in order to shine a spotlight on the great roots music being made in and around its southern Minnesota headquarters.
The first two releases, “Heavy On My Mind” by Matt Arthur & The Bratlanders and a brand new EP from Little Omar are out now and available from the Rice County Records website.
Every release on Rice County Records is recorded at The Rice County Recording Company, an entirely analog recording facility in downtown Northfield.
